This policy explains what personal data Grynd collects, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the rights you have over it. Right now Grynd is pre-launch, and the only data we collect is what you give us to join the waitlist.

1. Who we are

Grynd is a Mac app, managed by Brava Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”), a web studio based in Norwich, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Brava Digital is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. The data we collect

When you join the waitlist on this site, we collect:

Your email address, so we can tell you when Grynd launches.

That's it. We don't ask for your name, and we don't collect any financial information. The app itself keeps your money data on your own Mac and never sends it to us.

If we enable website analytics in the future, and only with your consent, we may also use Google Analytics to collect anonymised statistics about how this website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). We do not run advertising trackers, we do not collect special-category data, and we never buy or sell personal data.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your email address for one thing: to send you a small number of updates about Grynd's launch, and one message when it goes live. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 7).

4. Who processes your data

We use a few carefully chosen providers, each of which only processes your data on our instructions:

Google (Google Ireland Ltd): waitlist sign-ups are stored in a private Google Sheet in our Google account.
Netlify (Netlify, Inc.): hosts this website. When your browser loads the site, Netlify processes your IP address as a normal part of serving the page.
Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry): serves the fonts used on this site; your browser requests them when the page loads.
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd): only if analytics is enabled and you consent, Google processes anonymised usage data on our behalf.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent adequacy arrangements.

5. Cookies

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. If we add Google Analytics later, it will only run after you accept it in a cookie banner, and you'll be able to change your choice at any time. Until then, nothing is tracked.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email on the waitlist until Grynd launches and we've let you know, plus a short period afterwards, and then we delete it. If you ask to be removed sooner, we'll remove you straight away.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
Ask us to erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
Object to or restrict how we use it.
Withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email gryndapp@bravadigital.co.uk. We'll respond within one month, and there's normally no charge.

8. Complaints

We'd always prefer to put things right ourselves, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on the website.
